Everyone craves to know where their piece fits in life’s grand puzzle. I spent my entire life trying to find a sense of purpose by becoming someone other than myself.
I became exceptionally good at immersing myself completely within the world of someone else’s life…
in order to adapt my own to merge with theirs, all in an attempt to feel less alone and more worth.
Eventually my house of cards fell. No matter how hard I tried, no achievement could fill the emptiness I felt. I was a tall, handsome, and brilliant shell, devoid of the real juice of the real me. Propped up by a web of attractive externalizations to distract everyone’s eyes from my shameful core, I could become anyone for anybody, anyone but myself. And so…
I intimately know how clever humans are at authoring their reality.
It’s taken many twists and turns across the labyrinth of shame to discover the raw human at the center and show him my love. In doing so I’ve liberated my gift of escapism to become a profound gift of connection. I can step right into your world and sit right beside you.
